Looks like I'll have to get a new phone soon so I'm starting to do my homework early.
At the moment in the car I use an FM transmitter that I plug in to the earphone socket on my phone, the problem here is you end up with wires trailing round the car and a lot of messing each time I want to stream internet radio from my phone to the car radio.
My question is, does anyone know of a decent mobile phone that has an FM transmitter built in?:)

Cool Nokia N900 feature: FM transmitter. WordPy works better on this N900 than I have seen it working on any S60 device. I want to download fm transmitter to. Shop eBay for great deals on Cell Phone FM Transmitters for Nokia. You'll find new or used Cell Phone FM Transmitters for Nokia on eBay. Free shipping on selected items.

    Heard of TuneIn Radio?

The OP means to stream to the car radio via FM as I presume the car radio doesn't have Bluetooth.
OP do you have any kind of input in the car for a bluetooth receiver. You won't find a phone with an FM transmitter built in I don't think, not a mainstream one anyway.

A few Nokia Symbian devices had an inbuilt Fm transmitter such as the N8 and N79, It's not a feature included in any of today's phones unfortunately.

And it's a bloody shame as well! All Android phones should come with an FM transmitter. I used it loads when i had my Nokia N86. I still have it today and it worked without any problems. It was great to play songs from it on the radio via the FM transmitter.
I'm curious but are there any Android phones with an FM transmitter built in?

No mainstream ones as Bluetooth is so commonplace in modern cars and the range of bluetooth speakers you can buy these days. Broadcasting analogue FM is a bit dated when you could have digital bluetooth audio and control buttons. You can buy bluetooth car adaptors that plug into 3.5mm sockets.

You can get an FM transmitter with Bluetooth connectivity so no connecting wires needed. Check out the Satechi range.
Of course the neatest solution is to upgrade the car radio to one with inbuilt Bluetooth connectivity which will then can also be used as a hands free for your new phone. But if you could be driving any one of a fleet of company vehicles then the FM transmitter solution is more flexible.

That's a thought. Unfortunately our Mazda is 9 years old with no bluetooth or 3.5mm jack and we don't have any plans in changing it or the radio. I had heard of the older Nokia phones with FM transmitters and I was hoping there was else out there. Seems to me the phone companies are missing a trick. Thank you for your suggestions:)
